Meal Planning? Carbs, Fats, Proteins? Vitamins, Supplements, Food Intake Frequency? Who has time to plan healthy and balanced nutritional intake with the fast paced lifestyles many of us live. Considering that most experts agree that 5 small meals a day is better for your health and for gearing up your metabolism than 2 or 3, does this complicate it more for you? Actually proper meal planning is not that challenging, so long as you have some basic and easily understood guidelines or parameters to work within. That is where a Fitness Professional can come into the picture to provide those guidelines for you.
Most Americans have an unhealthy ratio of fat to lean body mass and a greater percentage are deemed to be obese each year. Our Nation suffers from a diabetes epidemic as well. Excess sugars and starches in candies, bakery, and white breads, an overabundance of fatty fried foods, and a lack of metabolism boosting healthy carbohydrates in most Americans diets are in major way directly responsible for the above mentioned ills and many other common and serious health problems we regularly seek redemption from.
Health concerns aside proper nutrition is critical to attaining our overall fitness goals. An individual who has fat loss as their primary fitness goal instead of muscle gain will require a different ratio of carbohydrates to protein in their meals. A larger person will of course require more food for energy than a small or petite person. An athlete or somebody doing extensive cardio will require a higher ratio of energy driving carbs than many others. Without basic guidelines in this arena, many of our efforts to change our bodies for the better go to waste. Relying on guesswork or worse yet whatever foods are available or common to us usually prevents our progress to the new bodies and physiques that we seek.

Gaining nutritional awareness has been a lifelong hobby of mine with a bent towards natural, fresh, and healthy eating. This nutritional education predates my employment experience in menu planning with the national fitness chain 24 Hour Fitness, where I worked as the Fitness Manager of their location at FM 1960 and Wunderlick Dr in Houston Texas. For every training client who enrolled in their "24/5 Accelerated Results" program, we provided a customized and detailed flexible menu plan specific to each client's body type, goals, and food likes and dislikes.
Let me use this experience to help you plan your food intake to maximize your health, just as I have done in my life and for many other men and women.
