Aerobic Exercise otherwise known as cardiovascular activity builds up your endurance and stamina while burning fat away in the process. Regular Aerobic Exercise helps to keep your metabolism stoked, which will cause your body to burn more calories up on a moment to moment basis, even when you are not exercising. A common obstacle that influences many people from committing time to cardio type activities is that they do not have the energy or time to do them regularly. This is a misnomer, as doing cardio will result in a big boost in overall energy levels which will then result in increased productivity in all areas of your life. An increase in libido is also a common byproduct of regular cardio exercise. Most people consider cardio activities to be boring and are sometimes considered more work than they are worth. When you think about what most people do for cardio, this is easily understood. Stationary Biking! The Treadmill! What, are we a bunch of hamsters or gerbils getting off by running the wheel? I think not. There are many activities that can take the drudgery out of cardio activities. Here at Doc Kunda’s Place you can enjoy 1 on 1 water aerobics to music or be coached on swimming strokes for moderate to intense swimming of laps at the beautifully landscaped pool at The Ravinia, the Luxury Apartments I reside at in Spring Texas. If water activities are not your game then how about a session of high energy Body Pump Aerobics? This is a combination of dance coupled with light duty weight training set to fast and hard alternative or classic rock music. Have a blast while breezing through an exhilarating routine sure to leave your body pumped. Regularly done this activity will tone like practically no other. Another alternative activity for your cardio workout is Mountain Biking interval training. Your choice of a paved city route through beautifully landscaped communities adjacent to my home or the woods course near and along the banks of Cypress Creek in Klein Texas. Interval training stimulates more of your body by targeting the different specialized muscle fibers used when we exert our muscles at different rates and for different periods of time. This is more advantageous than a steady rate of exertion typical to many cardio activities that only stimulate a fraction of our muscles specialized fiber types. My experience in the fitness industry includes being employed as a Personal Trainer for the national fitness chain 24 Hour Fitness. This position was short lived as I became the Fitness Manager of one of their gyms within the first year of my employment with them. The duties of this position entailed building and managing a team of personal trainers at their location at FM 1960 and Wunderlick Dr. in Houston Texas.
